With the onset of COVID-19, the club launched a grocery delivery service in partnership with Sobeys on March 21st, to help the shut ins in their community and surrounding area. By April 26th, a total of 253 households were benefiting, many on a weekly basis. Plus, an additional 40 shoppers (those who normally go to the foodbank) were also “topped up”. And approximately 7 families who did not have the resources were provide with free groceries.

As a result of great community awareness thanks to the local media, social media and word of mouth the club raised over $12,000 in the first 3 weeks - and subsequently posted a message: "Thank you for your support of the Rotary Club of Parry Sound. We currently have enough monies for this program - However, since our fund-raising events for the spring are in question - we would greatly appreciate donations to our other programs. Rotary aims to serve the Community's Greatest Needs.". They are continuing to receive around $,1500 every month.
