The Rotary Club of Kapuskasing is having their 2nd annual Polar Plunge named The Kapuskasing Rotary Bay Dip, on February 27th.Approximately 75% of the funds raised by the participating dippers will go to a charity of their choice with the remainder paying for the costs and the balance to the Club.
In 2020 over $25,000 was raised for local charities and the club intends on beating this record this year. The dip also includes a 50/50 draw.
The Indian Friendship Centre will be participating on site, including opening the event with a prayer in three languages.
If the pandemic prevents us from gathering and taking the dip, a plan b or c is being developed. Either way, this fundraiser is happening.
