President-Elect Learning Seminars

District 7010’s President-Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) is a weekend leadership training event held to prepare incoming club presidents, secretaries, treasurers, and assistant governors for their upcoming term as well as providing New Generations and YEX group work.

It is also an event that supports learning for all interested Rotarians and provides:

Leadership Skills: Focusing on team leadership, strategic goal-setting, and effective club management.
Rotary Education: Providing deep dives into the Rotary Foundation, membership development, and public image strategies.
Networking: Offering peer-to-peer discussions where incoming leaders from various clubs share ideas and build support systems

The PELS Weekend will provide participating Rotarians with Plenary Sessions including inspirational speeches and keynote presentations from District and Zone Rotary leaders, Breakout Workshops where small group discussions are tailored to specific roles like presidents, secretaries, treasurers, and Social Events where informal networking occurs at gatherings and connection corners designed to foster collaboration across clubs.

*** NEW THIS YEAR*** the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) program will be offered. Part One Session One will occur before virtually before the weekend, and Sessions Two and Three will be offered during the PELS weekend.

The next PELS Weekend will be held April 9-11, 2027 at the Best Western North Bay Hotel & Conference Centre
