Working Together Interact-Rotaract-Rotary
Did you notice that in this month’s issue of Rotary Magazine three of our Haliburton clubs — Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact — collaborated on a cookbook project organized by Ursula Devolin, the Rotary club’s New Generations chair and Christine Carr, District Interact Rep who thought about what members could do during a pandemic: “Everybody’s been cooking through COVID-19, and it seemed to me it would be nice to have a community cookbook.”
Interactors from Haliburton Highlands Secondary School and members of the Rotaract Club of Haliburton Highlands illustrated and designed the spiral-bound book; members of all three clubs collected the 84 recipes inside. Book and ad sales generated about $2,800 for the Mahatma Gandhi Sishu Siksha Sadan school near Kolkata, India, which the Rotary club has supported for about 15 years.

Peace Pole Dedication In Sudbury
The Rotary Clubs of Sudbury and Sudbury Sunrisers held a dedication ceremony of the first Rotary Peace Pole at Rotary Park on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Week.
There will be four Poles planted alongside a bench on the walking trails of the park. They demonstrate a shared commitment to building a peaceful community. Each Peace Pole bears the message May Peace Prevail on Earth in 8 languages – English, French, Cree, Ojibway, Italian, Finnish, Mandarin and Arabic.

Travailler ensemble Interact-Rotaract-Rotary

Des intervenants de l'école secondaire Haliburton Highlands et des membres du Rotaract Club of Haliburton Highlands ont illustré et conçu le livre à reliure spirale; les membres des trois clubs ont rassemblé les 84 recettes à l'intérieur. Dédicace du ple de paix à Sudbury
Les Clubs Rotary de Sudbury et Sudbury Sunrisers ont organisé une cérémonie d'inauguration du premier pôle du Rotary pour la paix au parc Rotary lors de la Journée nationale de la Semaine de la vérité et de la réconciliation.
Il y aura quatre poteaux plantés à côté d'un banc sur les sentiers pédestres du parc. Ils démontrent un engagement commun à bâtir une communauté pacifique. Chaque pôle de paix porte le message Que la paix règne sur Terre en 8 langues – anglais, français, cri, ojibway, italien, finnois, mandarin et arabe.
