Supporting Our Rotary Foundation
 
November is Rotary Foundation Month. It is a time when clubs and districts celebrate Rotary Foundation programs and cultivate financial support for our Rotary Foundation. Through our collective contributions to The Rotary Foundation, we continually find meaningful ways to help others. The Rotary Foundation is our foundation. It belongs to all of us as Rotarians and I encourage you to include The Rotary Foundation as one of your charities of choice.
 
You can make a difference in this world by helping others in need - from supplying a vaccine to protect a child from polio to training peacebuilders in conflict resolution to help build a more peaceful future.
 
The Rotary Foundation is unique in that you can choose the cause that you want to support, all of which are eligible for Paul Harris Fellow recognition points.
 
Annual Fund
At the end of every Rotary year, Rotary member contributions to Annual Fund-SHARE are divided between the WORLD Fund and District Designated Funds (DDF) which are used by our District clubs to support local and international causes of their choice.
 
Polio Plus
Your donation helps Rotary reach every child with the polio vaccine. Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation your contributions will be tripled with their 2:1 match.
 
World Fund
Gifts to the World Fund will be spent where the need is greatest.
 
Disaster Response Fund
Contributions are made available to clubs and districts through Rotary Disaster Response Grants.
 
The easiest way to support The Rotary Foundation is to Donate Online. You get to choose where your donations go. Support thousands of service projects our People of Action are tackling around the world. Outright gifts can be made easily with The Rotary Foundation (Canada) online contribution form. Or sign up for Rotary Direct which allows you to help year-round by automatically giving each month, quarter, or year.

You and your club can also donate to help us become a Peace Building District by donating to our District Treasurer - district7010treasurer@gmail.com and marking it for Foundation Peace Building and Conflict Resolution or Peace Centres.
 
I would like to congratulate Jean Charles Coutu, member of the Rouyn Noranda RC on becoming an Officer with the Order of Canada. This was well deserved for his work as a Judge working with 21 Cree and Inuit villages in Northern Quebec, bringing in adaptive justice. The former Mayor of Rouyn also worked with Jeunesses musicales du Canada, at the local and National levels. He also co-founded the Festival des Guitares du monde in Abitibi-Temiscamingue and the Agora des arts in Rouyn-Noranda.
 
We often speak that a Rotarian has Rotary in their DNA as they are often a second-generation Rotarian and involved not only at the club and district level but in other capacities as well. But sometimes a new member, a “convert” to our organization also throws their heart and soul into working for Rotary. Ruby Liza Come of the Lindsay RC is such a person and here she is in front of her restaurant with the Four Way Test sign on the outside of her building. She is a new member from the Manila Premier club D3810 in the Philippines.

Soutenir notre Fondation Rotary
 
Novembre est le Mois de la Fondation Rotary. C'est un moment où les clubs et les districts célèbrent les programmes de la Fondation Rotary et cultivent le soutien financier de notre Fondation Rotary. Grâce à nos contributions collectives à la Fondation Rotary, nous trouvons continuellement des moyens significatifs d'aider les autres. La Fondation Rotary est notre fondation. Il nous appartient à tous en tant que Rotariens et je vous encourage à inclure la Fondation Rotary parmi vos œuvres caritatives de choix.
 
Vous pouvez faire une différence dans ce monde en aidant les autres dans le besoin - de la fourniture d'un vaccin pour protéger un enfant de la poliomyélite à la formation des artisans de la paix à la résolution des conflits pour aider à construire un avenir plus pacifique.
 
La Fondation Rotary est unique en ce sens que vous pouvez choisir la cause que vous souhaitez soutenir, qui sont toutes éligibles pour des points de reconnaissance Paul Harris Fellow.
 
Fonds annuel
À la fin de chaque année rotarienne, les contributions des membres du Rotary au Fonds annuel SHARE sont réparties entre le Fonds MONDIAL et les Fonds désignés de district (FDD) qui sont utilisés par nos clubs de district pour soutenir les causes locales et internationales de leur choix.
 
Poliomyélite Plus
Votre don aide le Rotary à vacciner chaque enfant contre la poliomyélite. Grâce à la Fondation Bill & Melinda Gates, vos contributions seront triplées avec leur match 2:1.
 
Fonds mondial
Les dons au Fonds mondial seront dépensés là où les besoins sont les plus grands.
 
Fonds d'intervention en cas de catastrophe
Les contributions sont mises à la disposition des clubs et des districts par le biais des subventions d'intervention en cas de catastrophe du Rotary.
 
Le moyen le plus simple de soutenir la Fondation Rotary est de faire un don en ligne. Vous pouvez choisir où vont vos dons. Soutenez des milliers de projets de service auxquels nos gens d'action s'attaquent dans le monde entier. Les dons directs peuvent être faits facilement avec le formulaire de contribution en ligne de la Fondation Rotary (Canada). Ou inscrivez-vous au Rotary Direct qui vous permet d'aider toute l'année en donnant automatiquement chaque mois, trimestre ou année.
 
Avec votre aide, la Fondation Rotary peut améliorer la vie de votre communauté et du monde entier. Veuillez donner aujourd'hui.
 
Vous et votre club pouvez également faire un don pour nous aider à devenir un district de consolidation de la paix en faisant un don à notre trésorier de district - district7010treasurer@gmail.com et en le marquant pour la consolidation de la paix de la Fondation et la résolution des conflits ou les centres de paix.
 
Je tiens à féliciter Jean Charles Coutu, membre de la CR Rouyn Noranda, pour sa nomination au titre d'Officier de l'Ordre du Canada. Cela était bien mérité pour son travail en tant que juge travaillant avec 21 villages cris et inuits du nord du Québec, apportant une justice adaptative. L'ancien maire de Rouyn a également travaillé avec les Jeunesses musicales du Canada, au niveau local et national. Il a également cofondé le Festival des Guitares du monde en Abitibi- Témiscamingue et l'Agora des arts à Rouyn-Noranda.

Nous disons souvent qu'un Rotarien a le Rotary dans son ADN car il s'agit souvent d'un Rotarien de deuxième génération et impliqué non seulement au niveau du club et du district, mais également à d'autres titres. Mais parfois, un nouveau membre, un « converti » à notre organisation s'investit corps et âme dans le travail pour le Rotary. Ruby Liza Come du Lindsay RC est une telle personne et la voici devant son restaurant avec le signe Four Way Test à l'extérieur de son immeuble. Elle est un nouveau membre du club Manila Premier D3810 aux Philippines.
